Summary: I stayed at The Giri Residence with two friends for four days in mid-July. The hotel and location were gorgeous. We wanted a relaxing stay for a holiday and to celebrate my 40th birthday. While the rooms and hotel were stunning, we felt that customer service was very disappointing. The staff were nice and polite but they were not very attentive. Prior to arrival, I had made hotel staff aware that three of us would be sharing our suite - despite this, they only stocked the room for two people and we had to ask for additional glasses, towels and dressing gown on more than one occasion. When we checked in we didn't receive any information about the hotel, the spa or its facilities / treatments available to us. We weren't told where breakfast would be served or even given a tour of the hotel. Before arrival, I made the hotel aware that I would be celebrating a special birthday and asked if they could recommend any fun activities we could book for the day. I was told that they would discuss suggestions when we arrive - unfortunately, this did not happen. Breakfast was lovely but service was often slow. While the luxury hotel matched the price we paid it wasn't reflected in the customer service.
