Our villa Estrella Fugaz has undergone major refurbishments in spring 2023, as we aim to combine luxurious modern comfort with the raw natural beauty of Lanzarote in art and design.
We have now reopened with the following new features:
- completely new 2nd bathroom (en-suite)
- new open-plan kitchen with modern appliances, fully redesigned
- more spacious lounge and dining area
- completely re-made outdoor area with solar shower
- completely re-tiled indoor area
- full air-conditioning (also for kitchen/salon)
- additional electric pool-heater (to top up existing solar heating system)
- lots of new furniture and interior redesign
- fitted noise-reducing doors
- especially commissioned art and design features in- and outdoors, bringing the ambience of Lanzarote’s unique natural elements right to your holiday home
The villa “Estrella Fugaz” sits on a gentle incline in the Playa Pocillos area of Puerto del Carmen. The house, being the center of a spacious private plot, is surrounded by lush patches of garden on three sides and a large heated private pool.
The front door of the villa opens onto the living area, with L-shaped settee and large dining table. There is a large flat-screen TV with a full range of European channels (esp. English, German, Spanish, French, Dutch, Scandinavian) including Sky sports and movies, and a video club with all the latest movies and lots of series, plus all modern smartTV functions. Additionally, there is a quality air-conditioning & heating system, for your comfort. The open-plan kitchen comes equipped with easy-to-use induction hob/oven, microwave, fridge-freezer and other appliances.
The house offers 2 themed bedrooms, both equipped with quality air-conditioning & heating systems: The front “Water Bedroom” (Cuarto Agua) has a king size bed, a desk and a small Smart TV, plus built-in safe in the wardrobe. The rear “Earth Bedroom” (Cuarto Tierra) has 2 single beds, which can be used as king-sized-double. It also features an en-suite, earth-themed bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower, with door and skylight (also fit for airing). The main bathroom is water-themed with different hues of blue, featuring a walk-in shower and bidet.
Weekly linen & towel change is included; mid-stay cleaning can be arranged on request. For your own laundry, there is a separate shed with washing machine, ironing equipment and cleaning utensils. We also put free fiber-optic WiFi, a portable stereo and pool towels at your disposal.
In its private outdoor area, the property offers 2 terraces: A spacious, partly covered front terrace (“Summer Terrace”) facing south-east, complete with table, deck chairs and sunshade. A wind-sheltered rear “Winter Terrace” partly enclosed by lava stone walls storing the warmth of the sun.
The front terrace stretches along the side of the swimming pool, providing ample space for the sunbeds. The pool itself is beautifully shaped and quite large for a private pool. With water levels ranging from 1.00m to 2.20m, it is well suited for swimming as well as gymnastics or simply splashing about. A combined solar + electric pool heating system keeps water temperatures in comfortable swimming range (26-29 degrees) for most of the year. The pool will get fully refurbished in a completely new look for Spring season 2024, using a new lining technology to resemble the colours of Lanzarote’s landscape.
Walking out of the garden gate, you can reach the seafront by a 5 min. walk on two
alternative routes: You may either turn left and walk down Calle Grecia, which leads towards Playa Pocillos — arguably the most attractive beach of the island — stretching through Matagorda and Honda to the capital Arrecife. Or you may walk down Avenida Italia which leads to the promenade with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops. If you keep walking straight down to the sea, there is a sheltered beach bay perfect for winter sun/sea bathing.
