Travel Purpose: business

Positive: A wonderful place, we cannot rate it highly enough. The whole experience from end to end was excellent. The managing company answered all our questions and helped us with everything we needed; the owner who popped in occasionally to water the exquisite garden was a lovely chap and clearly wanted to ensure we had a great time; and the location is outstanding if you're looking for a little slice of peaceful heaven (at the back of the house by the pool and terrace away from the road, which is quite busy but didn't bother us at all - not least as it affords great access). We had nightingales singing in the garden, rare eagles circling overhead, and yet in 3 mins you can drive into Pollenca. What's more the house itself is highly traditional with lots of period features, which we love - a water well in the garden, old fires and features around the house. This is the sort of authenticity we look for when we travel. We were very impressed and will book again - an absolutely charming place, highly recommended.

Negative: The only improvement would have been to have a couple of things available on arrival. The company was very clear that it's self-catering and so quite rightly everything must be provided by the guests. However when arriving late on a flight there may not be shops open so having a bottle of water and perhaps some more hand soap would have been helpful, just to tide us over until we got to the shop the next morning. Still, just minor feedback, we were overall highly impressed by the whole experience.
