Our holiday home is located outside the tiny village of Costitx, a small community between Inca and Sineu, in the deepest interior of Mallorca. There is the church, the town hall, the bar, the bakery, the bank, the pharmacy, the grocery store, the primary school, the playground, antique windmills, the natural history museum - and that's about it. Rustic fincas and a good view over Mallorca's plain characterize the landscape around Costitx. Hikers, cyclists, archaeologists and aspiring astronomers like to visit the typical Majorcan place. A weekly market takes place on the main square every Saturday, with stalls offering regional products, fresh fruit and vegetables, clothing and shoes. The prices of the country houses and villas in this area are much cheaper than in the southwest of the island. Nevertheless, you can reach Palma, the airport and the nearest beaches in just 30 minutes by car. Another advantage of Costitx is its connection to public transport.
